Each year, more than 27,000 volunteer hours are completed by local volunteers for the Heart of Illinois United Way. We can help individuals and groups find volunteer projects to meet a variety of needs.
2017 Day of Caring
Mark your calendars for the 2017 Day of Caring volunteer event on Friday, September 8! Last year, more than 1,800 volunteers participated in volunteer projects at our partner agencies and schools throughout central Illinois. From reading and crafts with preschool students to much needed hands-on help like painting and landscaping, we're sure to have a volunteer project for your group.

Year-Round Group/Team Building Volunteer Opportunities
The Heart of Illinois United Way can help match individual volunteers and volunteer teams to available needs. Below is a list of current available volunteer opportunities. In addition, if you don't see a date/time or project below that works for your volunteer team, click here to submit a volunteer project request. Please provide 2-3 weeks lead time for securing a project that meets your team's needs. Volunteer needs are often met rather quickly, so we advise contacting the agency well in advance.
