About Jan Leonard

Jan Leonard has been employed professionally in the field of education for the last 35 years. She has worked as a middle school teacher and coach, a truancy caseworker and as a grant writer/grant administrator.

Additionally Jan has been employed as a professional development consultant for the past 19 years, 17 with the Peoria County Regional Office of Education's Two Rivers Professional Development Center. She has worked with school districts, training in a variety of focus areas, including school improvement, curriculum, technology integration, strategic planning and facilitation, instructional practices and standards and assessment.

Jan holds a master's degree in instructional technology and telecommunications. She is just completing a one and half year as project lead for the Heart of Illinois United Way Building Blocks project and currently is the coordinator for the new Heart of Illinois United Way initiative, Supporting Student Success (S3).
