Heart of Illinois Homeless Continuum of Care

The vision of the Heart of Illinois Homeless Continuum of Care (“CoC”) is to end homelessness in Fulton, Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford Counties (“CoC service area”) by ensuring access to permanent, safe, decent and affordable housing for persons and families facing homelessness.

The mission of the CoC, a united coalition of community systems, is to assist persons and families facing homelessness to obtain permanent housing, self-sufficiency and an enhanced quality of life through comprehensive, coordinated services.

In July 2016, the Heart of Illinois United Way assumed the administrative responsibilities for the Continuum of Care and hired a Director to oversee the functions.
